We were first approached by the client to provide a cost to clean the surrounding parapet walls of 3 blocks at this Secondary School. Their request was to remove all organic and carbon staining that had build up over the years and restore the concrete back to its original state when installed.

Upon surveying the work we strongly recommended to clean the entirety of the blocks due to concerns over dirt migration during the clean. 

Shortly after receiving the survey and the quotation, the client agreed and the project was booked in over the October bank holiday, allowing for a week of work. 

The Ivy in this communal courtyard was creating a canopy over the stairwell and landings, blocking light and creating an unhappy envorinment for the residents.

This ivy has grown nearly 12m high before wrapping itself around the pigeon netting. 

We were instructed to remove the ivy completely, cut away all entangled pigeon netting and then install a new section of netting. the transformation brought much needed natural light back into the courtyard and revealed some fencing we couldnt see from the inital survey.
